My GF and I are going from Bozeman, MT to Orlando, FL and we’d like a few places to stop along the way….make a little vacation out of the treacherous drive. We’re heading immediately south (to avoid snow issues) to Las Vegas so we can go by the Hoover Dam and then we’re heading east and will make a detour to the grand canyon. After that, i’m open to suggestions: It looks like we’ll be on I-40 most of the way, so anything along there would be nice, thanks!

If you are interested be sure to check out the meteor crater east of Flagstaff. Also you can make a side trip up I 25 and check out the Santa Fe plaza. And be sure to stop at New Orleans.

Cool places to see on the way?
We are planning on driving to Minneapolis the first day and staying with family, and from there on we are going to camp out, so I’m looking for suggestions on pretty places to camp out, too.
Any advice in general would be great!

well if you’re camping out in the wilmington, NC area, I’d go to KOA campgrounds. Link below…

As you go east on I94 through Wisconsin you will come to the Wisconsin Dells. You really should check it out, especially if you have kids with you. You can check out the Sears Tower in Chicago. I’m sure there are places you can check out In Indianapolis. There are some beautiful mountains you will go through in Kentucky, West Virgina, And Virgina. Do not know much about NC.

The web site below may answer some of your questions. It is located at Chazy Mountain Ranch outside of Bozeman, MT. Have fun if you go. I don’t know anything about it; but got lots of hits on it when I searched for “Marlboro Ranch”.

Yes, its real. I went about 3 years ago and they pay for everything! There is no catch. My husband just won this week so we are going back. Woohoo!

There is no catch! It is the greatest gift Marlboro could give you. You will be given two coach airline tickets, transport to and from the ranch, free activities (mountain biking, horseback riding, rafting, trip to Yellowstone) free, smokes, free alcohol, free food and tons of gifts. If you don’t go you will miss out on an incredible opportunity that you may not get again.
