Question by smidge: Montana employment opportunities???
bear with me here…my brother has been a construction worker (concrete, pool decks, spray crete, etc…) in south florida for 20 years. the market has desroyed most jobs so he decided a change would do him good. with no wife or kids to hold him back and a few job leads from friends, he packed up his stuff and is now in bozeman, montana. (he siad it had to be another beach or the mountains…the mountains it is) so, i thought i would throw out a few questions on Y/A to see if anybody is aware of anywhere or anything that is available in that area and/or region. thank you all for your time and have a great day. (and yes, i have posted this in other categories such as business/employment/carers/ as well…)

The housing market (for construction jobs) and job market are not great in the west either. I live in Colo. and we are suffering as much as everyone else. He may want to think about commuting to some jobs in Denver, which is the largest metropolitian area here. There’s some construction going on, but you see a lot of planned job sites abandoned and going to weeds because of the bad economy.

there are lots of oil field jobs open in eastern MT. paying 15-20 $ per hr. no experience required. not sure in Boseman tho.

You know that yahoo emoticon that is rolling on the floor laughing? That is kinda what I think about jobs and Montana in the same sentence. It is a very rural state with very few jobs. Everything is a drive and gas is not cheap. Wish your brother luck.
