The two-way off-set quilt construction is filled with 55 ounces of Cloudloft synthetic insulation. The bag can be zipped together with a second sleeping bag to form a cozy double-wide sleeping bag. Solid product at a solid price,
We ordered the Callisto 15 double size for couples camping. Upon arrival, we immediately opened it out and spent a night indoors testing it before we took it out. We have since used it several times, with temperatures ranging from low forties to high seventies and are thrilled. It is roomy enough for the two of us (and I’m a decent sized guy- 6’3″ and 220lbs) and probably a small child. The bag weighed in around 10 pounds total, but it can zip apart into two regular sized 4.9ish pound bags. A bit heavy, in other words, for backpacking, but that’s primarily due to the fact that it’s synthetic. The positive side is that it performs well even in damp conditions while costing a fraction of the price of a comparable down bag.
It didn’t come with a sack, but that’s not a problem in our case- just something to be aware of.
Overall, a good product at an attractive price for those going car camping, camping in cooler damp conditions, or those on a budget.
