The DryGuy Transporter – A simple way to dry or pre-warm boots and gloves simultaneously! Two rotating adjustable arms that telescope in and out insert easily into all size ski boots, snowboard boots, inline skates, hockey skates, hiking boots, work boots, etc. as well as gloves or mittens as it silently moves warmed “forced air” to quickly remove warmth stealing moisture. The Transporter helps reduce latent bacterial and fungal growth eliminating stink while encouraging dry, comfortable, healthy hands and feet. Pre-warmed boots and gloves in as little as 15 to 20 minutes improves circulation and promotes proper fit. Damp items resulting from normal daily use dry in 30 to 60 minutes while washed – spun dried – gloves and mittens dry in 4 to 5 hours.

I bought one of these for about $75 as a gift about 2 years ago. Used it MAYBE 10 times if that. went to use it the other day, worked for one cycle then flitzed out. No fan, just a blinking light. Called them, they said theres nothing they can do, they have 1 year warrenty, and that this model has problems breaking during transport. Its small and sold as portable! How stupid! They said, well, you are welcome to buy a new one. ??? Their website says “”We stand behind every product we make.”" um, no, you dont.
Don’t waste your money on this thing!!

Fire hazard *DANGER* -1 star, November 1, 2009

Well I’ve gone through two of these boot dryers and both of them died the same inglorious way although I must say this final failure did dry out my boots, just not as designed. When I came back to my boots after leaving the dryer running for a couple hours I found that the heat from this heater apparently near catching on fire is what dried my boots instead of a moderately warm air flow. This device is a fire hazard and if it hadnt caught it I suspect my boots would have dried from convective flames. A great gift for someone you don’t like. I’ve done some research on other sites and this is apparently a common problem with this device.

Used this product for a few months, the main power button broke-off. However, I was still able to turn it on/off by pushing the internal button attached to the circuit board (using a long wooden dowel). Eventually the unit stopped working entirely. Don’t buy it.
